Hakan Bulgurlu was born in 1972 in Oslo, to Turkish and Norwegian parents. He was first introduced to the greatness of mountains in Norway, and his love of the ocean took roots in the Princes’ Islands, Turkey. Bulgurlu is a global business leader and a climate activist. As the CEO of Arçelik, a home appliances manufacturer that operates in 150 countries, Bulgurlu has become a thought leader on sustainable and purpose-driven business. In a bid to raise awareness for the limate crisis, Bulgurlu climbed Everest in 2019. Bulgurlu is a member of the World Economic Forum’s CEO Climate Leaders Alliance and the Amstel Dialogues, an initiative that aims to foster innovation in Europe. With over 20 years of leadership at the organization, Bulgurlu was recognised as a nominee of Young Presidents Organization’s 2021 Global Impact Award. Bulgurlu is the author of "A Mountain to Climb". He is married and has three children.

Fleur Heyns is Dutch and started her career at J.P organ in London after graduating from Oxford University with an MSc in Biochemistry. In 2000 she co-founded and was the CEO of Global Trader, "Africa's RobinHood" trading platform with over 1million active users. Global Trader's successful exit in 2007 allowed her to pivot to what is now known as impact investing. Fleur provided seed capital for many impact funds and initiatives including Emerge Education (Europe's leading Edtech fund and acceleration), Osmosis Investments (world leading resource efficiency fund and global environmental fund of the year 2021), Enclude Capital (mini impact investment boutique), 17Africa (permanent investment vehicle to fund energy transition in Africa).
Currently she is the CEO and co-founder of Proof of Impact, a digital technology platform to improve the performance of impactful companies and fundmanager. She is also since early 2022 the Chairwoman of Pyrpose.io, a DeFi platform to fuel the growth of impactful companies. Fleur has been studying the ancient philosophy of Vedanta for more than 10 years to learn how to live a balanced and fulfilling life. Fleur is married to Gerrit, together they look after 4 children and live in Cape Town.
